About NTCI’s Graffiti

Whether its “The writing’s on the wall” or “The voice of NT“, Graffiti has been North Toronto Collegiate Institute’s newspaper since December 1984. Still released on newsprint to each student at North Toronto C.I., Graffiti has grown from 8 pages to 36 pages, and from 3 issues a year to 5 issues a year.

This site archives all the print issues that were once available on issuu.com and we continue to scan more.

The following are the old Graffiti On-Line websites:

The numbering of volumes has not been consistent over the years. Volumes 23-25 were the three issues for 2006-7 and Volumes 38 & 39 are 2019-2020.

Our archives are incomplete, please let us know if you have one of the following missing issues:

  • Volume 41, Issues 3 (2021-22) *
  • Volume 30, Issue 2 (Winter 2012) *
  • Volume 26, Issue 1, Fall 2007 *
  • Volume 16, Issue 2, Winter 1999 *
  • Many issues from 1985-1998 are missing (or need to be scanned).
  • *Many of these issues may be in the NTCI Archives , but if you can help out with a scan to pdf format, please email it to us.
  • A big thank you to those who have already submitted scans (Willem C-F, Paniz M, Michael F).

Each year there have usually been 2 co-editors, but there have been only a few staff advisors. Mrs. Tangney was Graffiti’s first staff advisor. Today this responsibility is shared by Jessica Bulgutch and David Silver.

In 1983/84, a new newspaper “Trilogy” appeared edited by Sean O’Malley and Ric Mazereeuw, with staff advisor Mr. Bialystok. We only have Issues 2 & 3 in our archives. (If you have issue 1, please scan it and/or send it to us!)
