Two new courses may be coming to NT! And for all those adventurous souls who chose these courses, here is a brief overview of what you’re up for. Geomatics is a good blend between technology and geography. You will be learning about the four pillars of geomatics: surveying, remote sensing, cartography, and geographic information systems (GIS). Learn how to “acquire, manage, map, analyse, and communicate information about the earth’s surface”. If you enjoyed geography, and love using a
computer, then this is the course for you. The Digital Environment is a course
for the forward-thinker. We are now living in the age of technology. According
to BBC, we spend almost half of our waking hours using media and communications. This new course will give you a hands-on learning experience using common business software. Again, if you love using a computer, then this just might be an excellent excuse to spend some more time surfing the web. So maybe the next time you’re on Facebook, and your parents tell you to go do your homework, you can reply, “But, this is my homework!”
