4: Mr. Ferguson

Chloe Li

Mr. Ferguson may be the school’s “Supply Administrator” in Ms. Pyper’s absence, but he is certainly  no stranger to North Toronto. Formerly Head of the Music Department, he used to have “Who Has the Funnier Tie?” contests with Mr. Johnston and even taught Ms. Pady once. As a former teacher from NT and a retired principal, Mr. Ferguson has a unique perspective on how NT has changed over the years. “The school still has the same, tremendous spirit,” he says. “It’s a lovely place to be in.” Though he will be leaving in a few short weeks, have no fear that we won’t see Mr. Ferguson and his musical ties until the next time a vice-principal needs to be away: he’ll be conducting some of NT’s music ensembles at our 100th Anniversary Roy Thomson Hall concert.
