Whitney Elizabeth Houston was one of the most influential people in the music industry, and for her to leave us so soon is nothing but another tragedy. Where do I begin with this majestic songbird? All of the Grammys she’d won couldn’t even level with the soaring voice she had. From her first self-debut album, “Whitney Houston”, to her last “I Look to You”, Ms. Houston had countless number one singles and is deemed one of the best-selling music artists in the world. “I Will Always Love You” from “The Bodyguard” soundtrack took the world by storm, it’s was both Whitney’s signature song and her most iconic performance. Whitney influenced a generation of younger singers, from Christina Aguilera to Mariah Carey, she also had the perfect voice, and the perfect image. Whitney Houston was a gorgeous singer who had sex appeal but always maintained perfect poise. Over the decades, Whitney’s had her ups and downs, she was publicly known for her drug abuse problems and her bitterly ended marriage to bad boy Bobby Brown. It’s clear to say that the public’s view on Whitney’s “good girl” image has changed after these personal struggles but at the top of her game, she was the greatest. Maybe it was the aggravating number of fans that pushed this talented idol to come back in the spotlight, or maybe Whitney was just sick of all the slander the press had wrote about her, whatever the reason, her comeback was the most anticipated. This is to the incomparable diva, the sweetest miracle, the legendary Whitney Houston, may she rest in peace.
